I have joined robotics. Yesterday we had a meet and both of our middle school teams won 1st in both leagues! After our last meeting I was outside talking to my friends, it was already dark. There were some other kids outside. They were throwing ice at us. At first we saw some role near us thinking they were throwing it at each other and missed. Later my friends ( they are twins ) left. One of them left their binder and I didn't see it. Another person left, the last person except the boys throwing ice. They threw another chunk at me. I told them in a stern voice to stop. They replied with " What are you going to do about it? Huh." I said my dad was a juvenile probation officer and in the army. The quieted down and started talking. I heard them say two names Bryson and Tyson. When my mom showed up ( in a truck) the boys bolted thinking it was my dad. The next day I found out that my friend binder was stolen and her phone. They checked the sucurity camera and saw the boys play with the phone. In later footage they saw an adult take the binder and a backpack. They called the police. The police recognized the adult and got the binder back but can't find the phone.
Yesterday we watched a video about the military boxes. It had pictures of parents deploying and coming back from deployment. My friend Corbin's dad deployed a while back. The photos almost made me cry when I looked back. I saw Corbin, eyes filled with tears. I snuck out of my seat and sat near him and put my arm around him and rubbed his back. He was sitting next to one of his friends ( I also know very well) who's facial expression was like " I'm a man, yet I'm his friend. WHAT SHOULD I DO?" After a few minutes he seemed better so I snuck back to my seat. By then everyone had been staring at me. I thought that was rude. He messaged me after school saying thanks. I offered for him to come to my robotics meet. He was in Tri-Cities. But he is planning on coming to our last meet. I CAN'T WAIT!
I can't wait for the meet ever I'm such a nerd -Corbin
