John Day

December 27,2015
I am heading to John Day, Oregon to our cabin to go sledding. On the way there I see the devestation of a fire from this summer. There is no green, only white snow and burnt black trees. Every now and then I see houses, or what's left of them. There are stumps everywhere.
When we finally get near where we are going we can't get past the first gate.  Our four wheeler can't get past a tree, so we start hiking.  We don't even make it half way to the second gate when we head back. The snow went up to my butt and hurt our legs lifting our them so high. When we get back we strip from our snow clothes and go back to John Day to retrieve presents from our grandparents.

Soap Making

So for Christmas I got some soap making stuff and here are some recipes I used. For all the recipes you need a mold of some sort (like cupcake tins) and some soap bars from a craft store.

1.  Soap What You Want
For this recipe you need: Soap; Honey (optional); scented oils (you can get some from youngliving.com); double boiler (two pots small and big)
First step: fill big pot with water about 3/4 full and put small pot over.
Step two: put in small chunks of soap about two cups worth
Step three: wait untimely completely melted and add honey (a spoon full) or scented oil (3-5 drops) or both.
Bonus step: add almond oil
Step five: add some oatmeal (about 3/4 cups)
Step six: pour into molds or cupcake tin.

Merry Christmas

Yesterday was Christmas and I want to share some things I got. From my aunt I got soap making stuff like molds and pajamas. From my other aunt I got a fifty dollar bill. I want to spend it on a robotics team for some of my nice friends. From my Aunt Caitlin I got some chocolates and needle felting stuff. When I opened the felting box I saw a fur patch. I looked at it for a while and figured out it was a thimble. From my grand parents I got a owl pillow with a bow tie and a recycled paper bead maker. From my grandma I got pajamas, a karaoke machine, a sketch book, ect. From my uncle Zac I got a beautiful scarf that is blue with strands of the rainbow. From my parents I got scarfs, jeans, a shirt, an owl speaker, ect. Then last but not least Santa gave me some headphones, a tooth brush, a device holder, a phone case, AND... A PHONE!!! The phone I got is an IPhone 5S. It is my first phone ever. I will try to post more, the Star Wars post I'm holding off because I don't want to ruin it.

Catching Up

Hey! Now I am in 6th grade at the middle school. I have some pretty cool teachers. Also I do robotics. Recently at school we started a can food drive. Our class only has four cans so far. We also are making goodie boxes for military troops.
I have joined robotics. Yesterday we had a meet and both of our middle school teams won 1st in both leagues! After our last meeting I was outside talking to my friends, it was already dark. There were some other kids outside. They were throwing ice at us. At first we saw some role near us thinking they were throwing it at each other and missed. Later my friends ( they are twins ) left. One of them left their binder and I didn't see it. Another person left, the last person except the boys throwing ice. They threw another chunk at me. I told them in a stern voice to stop. They replied with " What are you going to do about it? Huh." I said my dad was a juvenile probation officer and in the army. The quieted down and started talking. I heard them say two names Bryson and Tyson. When my mom showed up ( in a truck) the boys bolted thinking it was my dad. The next day I found out that my friend binder was stolen and her phone. They checked the sucurity camera and saw the boys play with the phone. In later footage they saw an adult take the binder and a backpack. They called the police. The police recognized the adult and got the binder back but can't find the phone.
Yesterday we watched a video about the military boxes. It had pictures of parents deploying and coming back from deployment. My friend Corbin's dad deployed a while back. The photos almost made me cry when I looked back. I saw Corbin, eyes filled with tears. I snuck out of my seat and sat near him and put my arm around him and rubbed his back. He was sitting next to one of his friends ( I also know very well) who's facial expression was like " I'm a man, yet I'm his friend. WHAT SHOULD I DO?" After a few minutes he seemed better so I snuck back to my seat. By then everyone had been staring at me. I thought that was rude. He messaged me after school saying thanks. I offered for him to come to my robotics meet. He was in Tri-Cities. But he is planning on coming to our last meet. I CAN'T WAIT!
